A site-specific project based at the Auchmithie Caves in the context of the migration of the village's fishermen, and their fishing trade, to Arbroath in the early 1800s.
In response to my time at the caves, I created a trio of books. Each book was printed using waterless lithography and bound using locally sourced driftwood and the string used during the trip to tie equipment to my pack and make structures at the mouth of the cave.
Screen-printed image assembled from drawings of objects brought back from the caves and text written in response to the experience.
Lithograph before tearing for book assemblage.
